Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations to assess clients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.

• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage participation and foster healing.
\n
• Documenting progress in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, ensuring comprehensive records from initial assessment to discharge.
\n
• Regularly monitoring and evaluating clients' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers—to implement integrated intervention plans.
\n
• Providing referrals to specialized services as needed and following up to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about managing mental health challenges and reinforcing recovery goals.
\n
• Staying current with the latest developments in mental health policies and best practices to enhance service delivery and efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting clients from varying backgrounds, helping them navigate their emotional vulnerabilities and achieve their personal goals for mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• A pass score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that facilitate clear and compassionate interactions with clients and their families.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills complemented by a genuine commitment to understanding and addressing clients’ mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor or therapist.

• Knowledge and experience in treating co-occurring disorders related to physical and emotional health, as well as addiction issues.

• Familiarity with the best practices advocated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Insight into the impact of prescribed medications and their implications for therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
