Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting machining operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully with the organization.
Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Carlos, MN
Pay Range: $22+/hour
Shift: Night: Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
What's the Job?
- Operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) horizontal lathes, mills, or turning centers to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts
- Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operating requirements
- Set up workpieces securely and start machining cycles, ensuring precision and quality
- Perform in-process inspections and verify dimensional adjustments using gauges and measurement tools
- Maintain machine coolant levels and monitor machine performance during operation
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in a factory or manufacturing.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical instructions.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to follow simple instructions and apply common sense to carry out tasks.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.
