Business Analyst

Company: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum six years of increasing financial responsibility with a working understanding of GAAP. An advanced degree may reduce required experience by two years. An advanced degree or certification is desirable. Job Description Position Purpose: Coordinates with accounting to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley reporting requirements. Provides in‑depth analysis of operational performance, actual versus budgets and forecasts, and relevant recommendations. Supports assigned business areas with financial management and risk mitigation. Facilitates annual budget development, including assumptions, staffing, revenue, and margin plans to meet business targets. Monitors actual expenditures against budgets, evaluates variances, generates comparative and trend analysis reports, identifies root causes, and recommends corrective actions. Designs and maintains reporting mechanisms to communicate results effectively to operational and financial management. Continuously evaluates financial processes to identify and implement improvements, capturing and reporting savings. Prepares reports related to operational or strategic initiatives, analyzes significant variances, and provides interpretative comments and recommendations to management. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, and standards, with the ability to contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques. Full knowledge of industry practices. Proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills. Detail oriented, with the ability to arrive at and communicate insightful conclusions based on comprehensive research and analysis. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
