Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join our dynamic team. This position requires a Washington license and involves floating between units as needed. The role is structured as a night shift, working three 12-hour shifts (from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Weekend availability is required, with every other weekend scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide floor care, emergency response, and rapid response services.
• Participate in patient care for a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients.
• Be prepared to manage and execute code responses among other critical situations.

Job Requirements

• Washington license (must be in hand upon submission).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Previous charge nurse experience is not required.
• Experience in a clinical setting with trauma-level patient care is preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT.

Skills and Competencies

• Aerosol setup and management including mask and trach.
• Administration of medications, including nebulizers and inhaled steroids.
• Extubation and management of tracheostomy care.
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• Experience with pediatric patients is highly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.

Facility Information

This facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital offering a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center services. The hospital is equipped with:

• 629 staffed beds.
• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Level 4 NICU.
