Must-Have: Must have 3 years of CST experience. Must have experience in general surgery and orthopedics, specifically total joints. Prefer plastics experience. Experience in similar size facilities, Trauma Level 3 & 4, and/or Critically Access Clients is required.

Description: Department has 7 surgical suites. Average number of cases per day is between 5 to 25. Common cases include general surgery, orthopedic/sports medicine, plastics and cosmetics, podiatry, and cataract/eye procedures. Experience in OB/GYN/women's health (non-cancer related) is beneficial. Scheduling is performed by the manager. Flexibility in scheduling is important, as travelers may be asked to fill scheduling gaps. Weeknight on-call requirement is 1-2 times per week, typically Monday through Friday, with 15.5 hours of weeknight call. Weekend on-call requirement is 1-2 times per month, including 24-hour call shifts. May be asked to float into scrub roles in various areas as needed. Dress code is provided by the facility and appropriate attire should be worn. Unit/department-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with a preceptor and call shifts. This is a rural community hospital, so a wide variety of cases will be encountered. 30-minute call response time is expected.
