OneStream Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a senior OneStream professional to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise EPM environment. This person will be responsible for both ongoing platform administration and new development, while partnering closely with Finance and Technology teams to turn business requirements into practical system solutions.

The role will also provide technical guidance to other administrators and help maintain strong controls, documentation, and governance around the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Development

• Manage and support an enterprise OneStream environment used for financial consolidation, planning, reporting, and related finance processes.
\n
• Configure and enhance application components, including metadata, cube views, forms, dashboards, workflows, security, data sources, and business rules.
\n
• Design and implement new functionality based on Finance and FP&A requirements.
\n
• Support integrations between OneStream and other enterprise applications using available integration tools and frameworks.
\n
• Develop and maintain OneStream business rules using VB.NET and write SQL queries for reporting, data validation, calculations, and integrations.
\n
• Troubleshoot application and data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
\n
• Support consolidation processes involving multiple currencies, intercompany activity, eliminations, ownership interests, and related financial calculations.
\n
• Contribute to planning and forecasting functionality, including detailed and driver-based planning.
\n
• Support workforce planning and other applicable EPM capabilities.
\n

Business Partnership & Delivery

\n
• Act as a primary technical resource for Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT stakeholders.
\n
• Gather requirements and translate business processes into scalable OneStream configurations and solutions.
\n
• Manage multiple enhancement requests and help determine priorities based on business impact and project timelines.
\n
• Communicate system changes, implementation plans, and potential impacts to business users.
\n
• Support testing, deployment, release management, and user adoption activities.
\n
• Help minimize disruption to critical financial close, reporting, and planning processes.
\n

Technical Leadership

\n
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior or developing OneStream administrators.
\n
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex configuration and development work.
\n
• Assist team members who are transitioning from other EPM technologies into OneStream.
\n
• Participate in solution design, requirements analysis, testing, and implementation activities.
\n
• Promote consistent administration and development practices across the platform.
\n

Controls & Documentation

\n
• Support the organization's internal control framework and SOX requirements as they relate to the EPM environment.
\n
• Maintain appropriate access controls, segregation of duties, and change-management processes.
\n
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and provide supporting documentation when required.
\n
• Maintain technical documentation covering configurations, processes, integrations, and system changes.
\n
• Develop and update process documentation and control-related materials.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
\n
• At least 3 years of hands-on OneStream administration or implementation experience.
\n
• 5+ years of overall experience working with EPM, CPM, or comparable financial systems.
\n
• Strong practical knowledge of OneStream configuration and administration.
\n
• Experience with application metadata, cube configuration, forms, dashboards, workflows, security, data integration, and business rules.
\n
• Experience supporting financial consolidation and planning processes.
\n
• Working knowledge of VB.NET and SQL.
\n
• Experience gathering requirements and delivering system enhancements from initial concept through implementation.
\n
• Understanding of SOX controls, access management, change management, and audit requirements within financial systems.
\n
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with both technical teams and Finance stakeholders.
\n
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
\n

Preferred Experience

\n
• Previous experience working directly in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or corporate consolidation environments.
\n
• Experience with workforce planning.
\n
• Experience mentoring or training EPM administrators or business users.
\n
• Exposure to OneStream Marketplace solutions and other platform extensions.
\n
• OneStream certification or formal OneStream training.
\n
• Experience developing detailed technical and process documentation.
\n
• Experience supporting large, complex, or multinational EPM environments.
