Shift: 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist shifts on a rotating schedule, approximately 5–6 shifts per 4-week cycle

Position Details:
Patient Population: Obstetric, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecologic emergency patients
Setting: High-acuity hospital-based OB Hospitalist program within a Maternal-Fetal Medicine-led practice at a tertiary care facility

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage
• Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests
• Respond to and manage Maternal-Fetal Medicine patient transports
• Assist with cesarean sections
• Perform inpatient postpartum rounding
• Participate in shared antepartum rounding with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
• Conduct gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume obstetric environment

Required Procedures:

• OB triage management
• Cesarean section assistance
• Inpatient obstetric and postpartum care
• Gynecologic emergency evaluations

Support Staff: Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Level III NICU team, 24-hour Anesthesiology coverage, Neonatologists, Pediatric Hospitalists, and GYN surgical service
Days Per Month: Approximately 5–6 twenty-four-hour shifts per 4-week cycle
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend coverage included within rotating shift schedule; no additional external call requirements stated

Submission Requirements:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Active California Medical License or in process
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
• DEA required prior to start date
• Must specify interest in full-time or part-time employment
