Job Title: Buyer (Manufacturing) Job Type: Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Summary We are seeking a Buyer with experience in manufacturing purchasing and materials planning to manage supplier relationships, ensure timely material availability, and support production schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience with MRP, SAP, procurement, and supplier coordination in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Analyze MRP demand and replenish inventory in a timely manner. Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Stock Transfer Orders (STOs). Obtain supplier confirmations and estimated delivery dates for all purchase orders. Ensure accurate receipt of materials in the ERP system (SAP preferred). Participate in daily production meetings and coordinate material requirements. Review and resolve MRP exception messages. Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and internal manufacturing plants. Monitor open purchase orders and prevent overdue deliveries. Communicate material shortages and supply risks to Planning and Production teams. Escalate supplier issues through established internal processes. Analyze supplier capacity and line-of-balance when supply constraints occur. Review monthly forecasts and communicate demand to suppliers. Resolve delivery, pricing, invoicing, and supplier-related issues promptly. Monitor supplier performance and on-time delivery metrics. Collaborate with Warehouse, Logistics, Planning, and Quality teams to improve supplier performance. Support inventory reduction initiatives, including excess and obsolete inventory management. Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with Accounts Payable. Support engineering changes, supplier development activities, ISO requirements, and continuous improvement projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Materials Planning. Experience as a direct buyer within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Supply Chain teams. Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Experience using SAP or other ERP systems. Knowledge of manufacturing planning processes and production scheduling. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused. Strong teamwork and leadership abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Fluent English communication skills.
