Overview

Client is seeking two experienced Category Managers (Level IV) to support our client's Strategic Sourcing team during a period of transformative growth following a major acquisition in the power generation sector. In this role, you will manage a wide variety of strategic sourcing initiatives ranging from day-to-day procurement to complex, high-value supplier contracts across power plant, including turbines, high voltage electrical equipment, and mechanical components. The team wants experienced sourcing professionals who can learn internal processes quickly and work independently under remote oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including RFQs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiation, and category management strategies. Manage sourcing categories across power generation operations, including high-voltage electrical equipment, mechanical components, and power plant services.
• Source across multiple categories, including turbine generator equipment and services, high voltage electrical, and mechanical components. Negotiate complex commercial terms, long-term service agreements (LTSAs), and service/maintenance contracts.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement execution with organizational integration goals following the Calpine acquisition.
• Utilize e-sourcing platforms (Coupa) and enterprise software (Asset Suite 9 ERP) to drive transparent and efficient sourcing processes.
• Work autonomously to deliver assigned sourcing initiatives with minimal daily supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience.
• Demonstrated track record managing end-to-end sourcing events, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
• Strong proficiency with enterprise procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strategic sourcing experience within the power generation, energy, or electrical utility industries.
• Specific experience procurement-sourcing turbine generators, long-term service agreements (LTSAs), or heavy electrical plant maintenance services.
• Hands-on experience using Coupa e-Sourcing software and/or Asset Suite 9 ERP systems.
