Clausson-Raught Community Rescue Squad Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) ambulance service that has served Southern Columbia County, NY since 1946. Also known as Community Rescue Squad, the organization provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance services to Copake, Hillsdale, Ancram, and nearby communities. The squad covers a rural 260-square-mile region with approximately 15,000 residents, delivering critical pre-hospital care and emergency transport. As an independently funded service that does not receive Federal, State, or County operating funds, it relies on community support and a dedicated team of emergency medical professionals focused on high‑quality patient care. Role Description The AEMT-P will provide front-line emergency medical care and transport services to patients within southern Columbia County, NY, supporting the communities served by Clausson-Raught Community Rescue Squad Inc. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, assessing patient conditions, administering basic life support interventions, and ensuring safe, timely transport to appropriate medical facilities. The role involves working closely with other EMS personnel and healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate and thorough patient care reports, and following all applicable protocols, regulations, and safety standards.
