Position Overview The car wash attendant is responsible for daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services; take and process wash payments to customers' satisfaction. Clean the facility and keep all equipment (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, grease gun) organized and in their proper places. Assist customers in any area concerning the car wash process. Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude. Guide customers with directional signage, maintaining neutral position, no brakes, and no steering while they pause to ensure directions are followed. Smile at customers and give a thumbs‑up after the vehicle is in neutral with no brakes. Perform visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area. Adhere to company policies and safety procedures while carrying out daily tasks. Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans are emptied, and hoses are properly hung. Perform tasks with a sense of urgency, ensuring the right thing is done at the right time with customers, the home office team, and teammates. Qualifications Display a courteous and professional attitude. Strong customer service skills to ensure optimum customer satisfaction. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift items of moderate weight. Ability to work outdoors and be efficient in all weather conditions. Interact ethically with fellow employees and customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Strong ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
