Location: Knoxville, TN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (must remain available until payroll processing is complete)
Pay: $18-$24/hour
Position Type: Remote
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, auditing time records, resolving payroll discrepancies, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and providing outstanding support to employees regarding payroll matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and review employee timekeeping and payroll records
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors
- Process payroll-related changes, garnishments, earnings, and deductions
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries using Microsoft Excel
- Communicate with employees regarding payroll questions and concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Assist with payroll and timekeeping system training
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and timekeeping systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Candidates must meet all requirements for the Payroll Specialist Staff position
