Description Company Description Job Summary The Club Access Assistant or Club Access Specialist is an entry-level administrative teammate responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of front desk activities at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. This role supports the Club’s daily operations by providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with administrative tasks. The Club Access Assistant or Club Access Specialist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and safe environment for members, families, and visitors. Primary Responsibilities Front Desk & Administrative Support Serve as the first point of contact for by answering phone calls, respon ding to inquiries, and provid ing information about Club programs and activities to BGCMD stakeholders. Ensure accurate records of attendance within MyClubHub which includes managing the check-in/check-out process for the Club. Process new membership applications and m aintain accurate membership records. Collect and organize Club member documentation such as collecting fees, field trip permission slips, and media release attestations. Support the Club Director with data entry and file maintenance. Provide general support to staff and leadership as needed. Youth Development & Member Engagement Support the Club Director’s vision of establish ing a youth-centered, safe, inclusive and engaging Club Culture that promote s positive Club member behaviors while also supporting a Club Culture that is welcoming of Club families and other external BGCMD stakeholders . Implement constructive youth development and trauma-informed practices throughout the Club to foster positive e motional, social, and enrichment experience for Club members. Build strong relationships with Club members, providing mentorship and guidance. Team Leadership & Professional Development Attend regular staff meetings and collaborate with teammates to support Club culture and member engagement initiatives. Demonstrate flexibility by substituting at other Clubs or participating in organization-wide events across the Denver Metro area. Participate in BGCMD January, May, and August training weeks and engage in any district/school-led professional development opportunitie s if applicable . Community & Family Engagement Support Club events by preparing materials and coordinating logistic Assist with Club member recruitment and outreach efforts to engage youth and families. Monitor entry and exit points to ensure the safety of all Club members and Club staff. Uphold and enforce Club policies and procedures related to member safety and visitor access. Assist with light cleaning and organizing of front desk and shared spaces Collaborate with Club staff to implement BGCMD’s Standard Response Protocols when necessary. Secondary Responsibilities Demonstrate flexibility by substituting at other Clubs or participating in organization-wide events across the Denver Metro area. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Thinking on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change - and they will - you go with the flow and are productive. Creating positive and supportive relationships with youth. Preferred Qualifications You are a Spanish speaker. You have previous experience working with youth . Conditions of Employment The position requires passing criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks. The position must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy. The position will primarily work indoors. Accordingly , the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required . Some job duties require the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communication with staff, club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately In-Office and Remote Work This position works primarily at an assigned club location but may occasionally work from other BGCMD facilities as necessary .
