Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2212.96 Opportunity: RN - Med/Surge Job Details: • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes • Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with nursing policy • Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs • Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately and in a timely manner • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays • Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptomatology • Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients • Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician • Perform wound care including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs • Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol • Participate in discharge planning • Assignment located at the Riverton campus • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through the American Heart Association) • Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license required Facility: This facility is a community hospital offering a range of medical and surgical services to patients in the region.
