Painter – Manufacturing

We are seeking a detail-oriented Painter with 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment to support surface preparation and coating applications for industrial electrical products. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking
• Apply coatings using spray guns
• Mix paints, primers, and coatings to required specifications
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, thickness, and consistency
• Follow work orders, drawings, and production schedules
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials or finishes
• Support continuous improvement efforts in quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing painting
• Experience with spray painting equipment
• Understanding of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions or drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience painting large industrial components or enclosures
• Knowledge of coating thickness measurement tools (mil gauges)
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling
