Position Overview:
MLR Healthcare is seeking a certified Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in administering radiation therapy treatments, while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by oncologists.
- Accurately prepare and position patients for treatment.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Monitor patients for side effects, providing education and support.
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field from an accredited program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) and state licensure in Illinois.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
