Learn more at The Opportunity Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Clinic Director to serve as a member of the clinic leadership team and maintains working knowledge of admissions and clinical operations to provide cross-functional support and leadership coverage as needed. This role plays a vital part in supporting clinic operations ensuring compliance, supporting patient engagement, and serving as a key partner to staff and managers. • Provide leadership coverage across clinical, operational, and admissions-related functions as assigned, maintaining the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure continuity of services and effective program operations.
• Works within the organization by interacting with patients, clients, staff members and providers.
• Provides clinical supervision to Social Work, Mental Health Counselors and CASACs.
• Oversees clinical services of the clinic to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, DOHMH, OASAS and CARF.
• Works in a collaborative environment to ensure the delivery of services to patients.
• Provide supervision to clinical staff, both individual and group, with supervision notes
• Take an active lead in all agency clinical staff and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Participate in all in-service trainings and continued ongoing education
• Representation at meetings with regulatory agencies in regards to clinical services
• Review staff documentation to make sure that it is person-centered and evidenced based, meets all billing requirements
• In collaboration with senior clinic leadership maintain the clinic as audit ready for all regulatory bodies; inclusive of review of corrective action plans for monthly internal audits.
• Review internal monthly audit and prepare response for compliance committee
• Provide staff with training in regards to corrective action plans for monthly and agency audits
• Demonstrate leadership and oversee crisis situations within the clinic
• Keep Program Director informed of progress, issues, crises, incidents, and problems to be addressed.
• Work with clinical staff to help achieve service requirement expectations; up to and including disciplinary action
• Function as a member of the clinic's senior leadership team
• Participation in program development
• Use time efficiently and be well-organized
• Responsible for clinical services provided at Center for Healing
• Build relationships with community partners to include but not limited to: local precinct, neighbors and community board
• Work collaboratively with co-clinical services director, medical team, and practice manager
• Co-manage running of weekly staff meeting
• Assist in the management and recruitment of intern and volunteer program
• Develop a referral network of relationships and MOUs for medical and psychiatric conditions
• Work with Medical Practice Manager to oversee and manage intakes and discharges
• Maintain working knowledge of admissions, intake, referral, and discharge workflows and provide operational support and leadership coverage as needed to ensure continuity of patient services.
• Provide other clinical and/or administrative duties as requested by the Director What You'll Bring
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), CASAC, LMHC plus four (4) years of clinical experience, 2 years supervisor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder, co-occurring evidenced-based treatment methodologies and modalities
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local documentation requirements to include but not limited to collaborative documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, assessments/screenings.
• Knowledge and/or experience in NYC social, legal, correctional service systems and programs.
• Good communication skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of OASAS admissions requirements, intake procedures, level-of-care determinations, and patient engagement strategies preferred. Employment Details
