Senior Manager, Technology Consulting

Audit and assurance services are provided by Elliott Davis, LLC (doing business in NC and D.C. as Elliott Davis, PLLC), a licensed CPA firm.This position serves as a trusted executive advisor to client organizations, providing strategic technology leadership, operational guidance, and business-focused consulting to help clients align technology with organizational goals. Working closely with executives, boards, and internal IT teams, this role develops technology roadmaps, oversees major initiatives, manages risk, and drives digital transformation efforts that improve performance and enable growth. The ideal candidate has firsthand experience leading IT organizations and has successfully served in IT leadership positions. This individual brings the practical perspective that comes from having "sat in the seat," combining real-world operational experience with the ability to provide strategic guidance, executive-level leadership, and trusted advice to client organizations.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technology advisor to executives, business owners, boards, and internal IT leadership, aligning technology strategy with business goalsDeliver Fractional CIO services by providing executive-level leadership, governance, and strategic direction for client technology organizationsAssess client technology environments and develop practical roadmaps that improve operational efficiency, cybersecurity, scalability, and business performanceLead technology strategy, budgeting, governance, and investment planning initiatives to help clients maximize the value of their technology investmentsProvide leadership and guidance to client IT teams, leveraging firsthand experienceFacilitate executive and board-level discussions, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business recommendations and risk-based decisionsOversee cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and technology resilience programsProvide executive oversight for major technology initiatives, including cloud transformations, ERP implementations, infrastructure modernization, software selection projects, and systems integrationsEvaluate, select, and manage technology vendors, contracts, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships to optimize cost and performanceEstablish and improve IT governance, operational processes, performance metrics, and service delivery frameworksIdentify and evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and emerging technologies to support business growth and innovationDevelop trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders while mentoring IT managers and emerging technology leadersRequirementsFifteen (15)+ years of progressive information technology experiencePrior experience serving in one or more senior IT leadership roles, such as IT Manager, IT Director, CTO, CIO, or equivalentDemonstrated success leading IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application delivery, vendor management, and/or strategic technology initiativesExperience developing technology roadmaps, technology budgets, governance programs, and executive-level reportingPrior consulting, advisory, or client-facing experience preferredExperience leading ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or business systems initiativesAbility to engage effectively with CEOs, CFOs, Boards of Directors, and executive leadership teamsThe ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and be committed to providing exemplary customer serviceStrong technical writing and presentation skillsComfortable working in a team environment and having your work be subject to a peer review processThe ability to work after hours as requested by client engagementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Security/Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline preferredWHY YOU SHOULD JOIN USWe believe that when our employees are able to thrive in all facets of life, their work and impact are that much greater.That's right – all aspects of life, not just your life as an employee, because we understand that there's life beyond your job.
