Our quality craftsmanship can be found in the steel structures supporting a diverse range of projects, and in the architectural details enhancing commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities across California.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)Grinding and cleaning weldsReplace wire in welding machinesOut of position welding (horizontal and vertical)Weld larger assembliesRead WPS and set machine accordinglyFollow all Safety RulesPreferred education, experience and other requirements:Minimum 1+ year of experience welding Structural and Miscellaneous Steel.Experience with full penetration (CJP) welds on structural/miscellaneous steel is preferredMust be certified to operate the overhead and/or jib crane and/or forkliftMust be certified in FCAW (wire) or FCAW-GHS Diploma/GED preferredAvailability to work overtime as neededMust be able to lift 40 poundsMust be able to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of timeMust know how to operate a grinderBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insurance1st shift position: Monday - FridayJoin our team as a Mid-Level Welder where your expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our projects!BAPKO Metal, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
