Join Our Team as a Barback at Irish Wolfhound Pub!
Looking for a fast-paced, hands-on role in the heart of the action? Irish Wolfhound Pub, located in Surprise, AZ, is seeking an attentive and hardworking Barback to support our bartending team during high-volume service. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you!
What You'll Be DoingAs a Barback, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our bar operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Stocking & Inventory: Keep bar stations fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine, ice, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure seamless service.
- Bar Maintenance: Clear used glassware, clean and wash barware, and maintain spotless bar counters throughout service.
- Kegs & Taps: Replace kegs and beverage syrups as needed to keep the drinks flowing.
- Prep Work: Slice garnishes, prepare specialty syrups, and organize prep stations before opening.
- Trash & Closing Duties: Empty trash, recycle, and assist with floor cleaning and closing checklists to wrap up the day.
We’re searching for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and jump into the action. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Team Player: Strong communication and multitasking skills with a collaborative, can-do attitude.
- Legal Requirements: Must meet local minimum legal age requirements to handle alcohol.
