Job Title: Assembly Technician 1st shift 6-2:30pm M-F - $21-24/hr DOE

Job Description

The Assembly Technician assembles and tests actuators for hydraulic systems while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and documentation. This role involves performing mechanical assembly, pressure testing, and final inspection of parts using hand and power tools, as well as supporting general maintenance and housekeeping tasks in a clean, organized, and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble actuators and related components for hydraulic systems according to blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Perform final assembly inspection of parts to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
• Complete pressure testing of parts and assemblies to verify proper function and safety.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools, including hydraulic presses, to assemble and test actuators.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Accurately complete documentation such as timekeeping records, bills of materials, prints, and other production-related paperwork.
• Use and read measuring equipment and tape measures to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and assist with repairs as needed.
• Support general maintenance tasks and housekeeping to keep the work area clean, organized, and efficient.
• Collaborate with team members and trainers to support production goals and continuous improvement.
• Adapt to other duties as assigned to support operations and cross-training opportunities.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a related industry.
• Experience using various hand and power tools, including hydraulic presses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Ability to use and read measuring equipment and tape measures accurately.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a production environment.
• Comfort using various computer software for documentation and production tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ham Lake, MN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
