Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves providing care on general medical and surgical units, managing a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from chronic illnesses to neurological and mental health disorders. This position offers the opportunity to work in an acute care setting and requires floating to areas with the greatest need.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
• Participate in inter-professional communication
• Utilize the EHR for documentation
• Manage IV therapy and administer medications like heparin and insulin drips
• Operate equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacs, and telemetry monitors
• Assist with procedures including IV insertion, feeding tube placement, and wound care
• Float to other medical units as needed

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• IN State or compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital with 450+ beds
• Experience with Epic charting and pyxis machines
