Pay: $24.00 – $27.00/hour
Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
We’re hiring a Payroll Processor to join a well-established company in Poughkeepsie, NY. This is a vital role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. If you're a payroll professional who enjoys a mix of routine tasks and problem-solving, this could be the perfect fit.
You’ll process payroll for hourly and salaried staff, maintain payroll records, and assist with tax reporting. This role requires someone highly detail-oriented with strong time management and familiarity with payroll systems.
Payroll Processor Responsibilities:
•\tProcess biweekly payroll for multi-location staff, including timecard review and corrections
•\tVerify wage calculations, deductions, and tax withholdings
•\tHandle garnishments, reimbursements, and payroll adjustments
•\tMaintain and audit payroll records in accordance with labor and tax regulations
•\tRespond to employee questions and resolve payroll discrepancies
•\tAssist with year-end reporting and W-2 processing
Payroll Processor Qualifications:
•\t2+ years of payroll processing experience
•\tWorking knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, or similar)
•\tStrong understanding of wage laws, deductions, and multi-state payroll (preferred)
•\tHigh attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
•\tDiscretion in handling sensitive payroll data
