Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during initial consultations, assessing patients’ psychological, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based interventions to promote mental wellness.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to track outcomes effectively.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to establish cohesive intervention strategies and ensure continuous care.

• Engage in follow-up communications with clients and healthcare professionals regarding any hospital admissions, ensuring seamless transitions in care.

• Utilize intervention techniques that empower clients to identify and address behaviors hindering their recovery process.

• Provide tools and techniques to family members and caregivers to manage mental and behavioral challenges, promoting a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Better Living Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a varied clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Your role will focus on delivering tailored treatment in a manner that respects each client's unique background and circumstances, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with a Master’s or doctoral degree preferred.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in delivering mental health counseling services, with the ability to adapt interventions to diverse client needs.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records systems and related technology.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
