About the Role

The Gardens of Statesville Independent Living, Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to oversee dining operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience across all service areas. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and leading a team committed to excellence, efficiency, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for daily dining operations, ensuring a consistent and high-quality guest experience.
• Develop, implement, and maintain service standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead, coach, and support dining team members to promote accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
• Partner with culinary, operations, and leadership teams to align service delivery with organizational goals.
• Monitor budgets, labor usage, inventory, and operational performance to support fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient service.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, with a focus on satisfaction and resolution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Support menu planning, special events, and dining program enhancements.
• Analyze feedback and operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in dining, food service, hospitality, or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple service functions.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality service standards, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, labor management, and operational planning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships across departments and with guests.
• Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and team development.
• Proficiency with common business and scheduling systems preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in senior living, healthcare, education, hotel, resort, or large-scale hospitality environments.
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements and individualized dining services.
• Experience leading process improvement or service transformation initiatives.
