Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont. Start date 07/15/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,917–$2,014 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Nights, three 12-hour shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am), with coverage of mid-shifts as needed. Setting is a rural, not-for-profit, independent hospital classified as a critical access facility with a busy ED (nine beds, sees over 15,000 patients per year; expansion underway). Credentialing must be uploaded no later than five business days before start; delays may impact start date.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments per orders; obtain and interpret basic diagnostics as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, specialty services, and the health care team to coordinate patient management
- Evaluate patient outcomes, adjust nursing plans, and document care in the medical record system
- Respond to emergencies, perform resuscitation and critical scenarios, and maintain patient safety and comfort
- Facilitate discharge planning and patient/family education

Requirements
- Current Vermont RN license or compact multistate license
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 3 years ER RN experience
- TNCC preferred
- Meditech familiarity or the ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work nights and cover mid-shifts as needed
- Credentialing must be uploaded no later than five business days before start; delays may affect start date
