Job Description

As a skilled manual Machinist with experience operating Manual Lathe.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, the ability to interpret blueprints and commitment to producing high-quality work in a manufacturing environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual lathe to produce precision components
• Measure and inspect finished components using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations, dimensions and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure they operate efficiently

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Be fully knowledgeable in work holding and clamping for milling, drilling, tapping and boring utilizing a manual lathe.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, micrometers, and a ruler to produce parts.
• Be familiar with different alloy materials and the tooling, speeds and feeds required for machining the different alloys
• Possess the math skills to calculate angles, bolt circles and any other equations required to accomplish machining tasks
• Have own tools that accommodate set up, deburring, tool changing, and measuring for all phases of operation.
• Be proficient in the use of overhead cranes

The base salary range for this position is $25.00-$28.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
