Reporting to: Head of Enterprise Data Strategy

Partnering closely with: Solutions CPO, product and leadership teams and CDO product and leadership teams

Fitch Group’s Chief Data Office (CDO) is seeking a Director, Data Strategy Partner for Fitch Solutions, to serve as the primary strategic bridge between the Solutions organization and the enterprise data function to serve as the primary strategic bridge between the Solutions organization and the enterprise data function.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, financial market data, analytics, technology, and data sourcing. You will represent Solutions’ priorities within the CDO — and the full capabilities of the CDO within Solutions — translating business needs into tangible data outcomes that improve efficiency, enable innovation, and strengthen Fitch’s competitive position.

You will work in close partnership with the Solutions Data team and teams across the CDO (Data Operations, Master Data and Governance, Data Sources and Marketplace, Data Analytics) to drive alignment with external and internal data and deliver measurable business value.

We’ll Count on You To:

Act as the Senior Data Partner to Fitch Solutions

• Serve as the primary strategic interface between the Chief Data Office and the Solutions organization, partnering closely to align priorities, translating strategy into data execution, and drive measurable outcomes.
• Develop a deep understanding of Solutions’ business strategy and products, data dependencies, and future needs.
• Serve as a thought partner on how data can evolve to better support new product development over time.

Translate Business Needs into Data Outcomes

• Convert Fitch Solutions use cases into clear, prioritized data needs and requirements across CDO programs.
• Shape and influence roadmaps across CDO teams to ensure Solutions’ highest-value needs are addressed efficiently and safely.
• Support data strategy for individual use cases, partnering with product teams to guide how business problems should be solved and what data should be sourced

Drive Tangible Impact

• Partner with product owners, domain data leaders, and delivery teams to ensure solutions land and are adopted.
• Track and communicate impact in terms of efficiency gains, risk reduction, quality improvements, and innovation enablement.

Enable Safe, Scalable Data Access

• Champion the use of enterprise data programs, such as Data Sources, Data Literacy, Master Data and Data Marketplace, to support Solutions’ business growth.
• Help Fitch Solutions teams understand what data is available, how to access it appropriately, and how to use it responsibly.
• Balance agility with risk by supporting enablement of new products, data rights awareness, vendor terms alignment, permitted use analysis, and fit-for-purpose controls.
• Ensure data foundations (quality, lineage, rights, master data) are in place to support prioritized AI use cases.
• Develop a practical understanding of data provenance, vendor restrictions, entitlement requirements, redistribution constraints, and downstream usage implications.

Be a Senior Voice Inside the CDO

• Bring deep Solutions context into enterprise discussions, ensuring strategies and investments remain grounded in real business needs.
• Contribute to enterprise data strategy, prioritization, and operating model evolution.
• Elevate business literacy across the CDO by sharing insights into Solutions’ products and associated initiatives, priorities, and processes.

You May be a Good Fit if:

• 15+ years of experience working with data in financial services, capital markets, or a similarly complex, regulated environment, with a proven track record of translating data into business impact and help shape data sourcing or acquisition strategies
• Strong business and domain acumen, with the ability to understand data, analytics, and AI use cases in financial markets.
• Experience assessing, sourcing, onboarding, and governing internal and third-party data sets, including vendor evaluation, commercial considerations, licensing terms, usage rights, and data quality requirements.
• Ability to translate product and business requirements into fit-for-purpose data source recommendations, balancing coverage, quality, timeliness, cost, licensing flexibility, and operational scalability.
• Demonstrated experience operating at senior stakeholder level, influencing priorities, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving execution in a matrixed enterprise.
• Exceptional communications and judgement, with the ability to distill complexity, frame recommendations, and build trust with business and technical audiences.
• Exceptional teamwork, organization, and planning skills

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Deep understanding of capital markets, including experience working with data related to bonds, loans, and/or structured finance, and how that data is used by investors, asset managers, and other market players.
• Relevant experience within a similar organization
• Experience enabling modern enterprise data capabilities,
• Hands-on experience with financial markets and data sources.
• Strong Excell and PowerPoint skills

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 160,000 and 200,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
