Environmental Services Director

Job Description Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Environmental Services Director position at Penn Medicine - The Clifton Center for Medical Breakthroughs. This is a management position, responsible for developing and executing custodial solutions to meet customer needs. Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Manages the day to day operations of the Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Department, including, but not limited to, overall cleanliness of the facility, patient room cleaning, bed turnaround times, floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste handling. Drives patient satisfaction and HCAHPS scores. Job Responsibilities
• Leadership - Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance. Ensure facilities services connects to the appropriate Executional Framework. Consistently utilize the GROW Coaching model. Reward and recognize employees. Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
• Client Relationship - Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship. Deliver and model WEST as the foundation for delivering excellent customer service. Identify client needs and communicate operational progress. Develop custodial program to meet client and customer demands and specifications.
• Financial Performance - Responsible for building revenue and managing budget which includes labor, supplies, equipment and related services/materials as well as ensuring the completion and maintenance of P&L statements. Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, eliminate custom/manual reports. Understand performance metrics, data, and order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
• Productivity - Implement and maintain GM agenda for both labor and facilities initiatives. Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management. Full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals for facilities and labor targets.

• Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs

• Overall ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit
• Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers
• Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how it is to be achieved
• Reward and recognize employees
• Identify and engage top talent and develop team members to their fullest potential within the organization
• Plan and lead team management meetings

- Requires at 5 years of experience in an EVS Director role within a 400 bed or larger acute care hospital
- Requires experience managing salaried and hourly employees
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Healthcare experience required
- Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers
