Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule

Ratios: 1:6 (days, nights, weekends). Orientation: 24 hours on-unit. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Contract length: not specified. Requested Time Off (RTO): Max 7 days per contract. Must work if major holidays fall during the assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• RN licensure: Georgia or Compact license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience with med/surg nursing and remote telemetry.
• Core clinical skills: peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to a diverse population, including adolescents through geriatrics.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions using remote telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient needs.
• Participate in rapid response and code situations as necessary.

Compliance / Notes

All compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start. Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
