Job Description
The Sourcing & Category Manager will support the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies that align with organizational goals, improve operational performance, and maximize value. This individual will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and senior leadership while managing vendor relationships and sourcing initiatives from end to end.

• Assist in developing and implementing sourcing and category strategies to optimize cost, improve efficiency, and support enterprise objectives
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to inform sourcing strategies, including pricing models and contract terms
• Execute sourcing activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract development, ensuring favorable terms are achieved and documented
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with business goals, project plans, and financial objectives
• Apply data-driven methodologies such as benchmarking, spend analysis, and competitive assessments to support decision-making
• Manage sourcing projects using established processes and tools to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency
• Monitor vendor performance, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and organizational standards
• Drive cost savings initiatives and track performance outcomes through regular stakeholder engagement
• Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management with a degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience without a degree
• Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of sourcing processes and contract lifecycle management
• Proven experience participating in large, cross-functional projects or programs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI
• Experience with vendor management tools, spend analysis, and data-driven decision-making
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demand management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly sourcing vendor services such as payment integrity, clinical operations, STARS, affordability, actuarial services, or related technology platforms
• Familiarity with compliance and risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HITRUST)
• Relevant certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
• Experience with procurement and ERP tools such as ZIP, Oracle, or ADP
• Prior category management experience
