As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for energetic and personable professionals to join our team.Position Summary:As an Electrical Engineer, you will serve as an engineering & manufacturing subject matter expert across various programs requiring product design and development knowledge. Your knowledge and expertise will be widely applied across our broad client base from various industry domains such as aerospace, automotive, and other defense sectors. You will provide thought leadership around new technologies and methodologies while working with clients in defining the future state of their engineering and manufacturing strategies. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems and components used in manufacturing processes.As a key member of the Customer Engagement Team, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for executing against key milestones and deliverable timelines. This role requires client-facing interaction with project teams in meeting aggressive timelines and delivering effective solutions.ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute the development and refinement of 3D Technical Data Packages (3D TDPs) with a cross-functional engineering team to aid in part procurement and manufacturing activities, including value-added and reverse engineering activitiesLead the design/re-design, development, and implementation of electrical components and subassemblies, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliabilityConduct detailed electrical analysis, simulations, and modeling to inform on system performance.Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into electromechanical assemblies aligned with modern manufacturing processesEnsure electrical designs comply with industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC), DoD requirements, and company guidelinesTroubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, applying corrective actions to prevent recurrenceIdentify and implement cost-effective solutions for system upgrades, retrofits, and new installationsProvide technical leadership and training to junior engineers and staff.Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for electrical system improvements across multiple projectsEngage with customers to understand user requirements and deliver solutions.Support or perform schematic design, parts selection, analysis, simulation, testing, and schematic capture for controls and power electronics.Perform board layout using industry tools (e.g., OrCAD PCB Editor) and support board procurement in regulated environments.Support the build and test of prototypes, managing the full development cycle.Design system architecture, including cables and buswork, and perform system integration analysisRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering4+ years related engineering experienceProficiency in electrical design software and electronic interrogation of existing systemsAbility to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrentlyProven experience designing, improving, and implementing electrical components and subsystemsExperience with schematic design, analysis, simulation, and board layoutStrong troubleshooting and failure analysis skillsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MS Office, and data analysis toolsSkills to communicate complex ideas effectively and work with business and technical stakeholdersExcellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and influential skillsAvailability for travel to customer locations as required; estimated at 30% - client dependentDesired Qualifications2+ years team lead / engineering project manager experienceMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience with prototyping and hands-on assembly of designed parts to find shortcomings and make improvements in the designProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certificationLEAN, Six Sigma, or other process certificationsExperience with reverse engineering and technical report writingExposure with a wide array of manufacturing processes and materials
