• Evaluate lab results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Meticulously document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and uphold lab quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain active certification throughout your tenure.
