Family Support Specialist - Part Time

Family Support Specialist (Part-Time) Firefly Children & Family Alliance is a dedicated organization focused on improving the lives of vulnerable children and families in Indiana. We are currently seeking a part‑time Family Support Specialist in Connersville, Indiana. In this role you will provide guidance, direction, and documentation of visitation for the families you serve, while working with the Department of Children Services and occasionally the court system. Responsibilities Family Progress – Monitoring and Coaching (70%) Complete all required documentation Oversee visits between children and their parents in our visitation offices or in the community Help schedule visits Coach collaboratively – maintaining a balance between teaching and serving Provide education and support to youth/families Assist youth/families in achieving their goals Attend all required meetings Perform any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor Communicate with multiple institutions related to youth/family matters Provide transportation to youth/families Attend court with clients and render recommendations Service Plans / Goal Development (15%) Create goals for each family Review goals when needed Work with other social welfare agencies Reporting (15%) Maintain case and agency paperwork according to standards Prepare written reports for the Department of Child Services / Probation office within identified time frames Qualifications High School diploma or GED required Some experience in a Human Services field preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance with 6 or fewer points on the driving record Equal Employment Opportunity Firefly Children & Family Alliance does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. #J-18808-Ljbffr
