Senior Manager, Compensation - Tech

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager Compensation - Tech to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will own compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that help attract, retain, and motivate talent at scale. You will partner with people leaders, finance, and executive stakeholders to align rewards programs with business needs and employee experience. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen pay practices, improve program governance, and create more consistent outcomes across the organization within a manufacturing environment. Location: Detroit, MI - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $201,100 – $283,200 annually Responsibilities Lead the design and refinement of compensation structures supporting company's technology sectors Translate business strategies into actionable compensation frameworks for tech roles Collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop proactive compensation strategies for critical positions Drive job architecture evolution for tech roles to ensure scalability and clarity Conduct compensation and workforce analytics to guide strategic decisions Create scenario models and analyses for proposed compensation changes Oversee benchmarking and market pricing strategies to ensure competitive compensation practices Qualifications 8-10+ years of progressive compensation experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role; tech sector experience preferred Expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive compensation programs for tech talent Strong analytical skills with Excel proficiency; experience with HRIS and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau Deep understanding of compensation survey methodologies and market pricing tools, especially in the tech domain Ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven insights and compelling storytelling Experience overseeing a small team of compensation professionals, focusing on professional growth and workload management Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline Benefits Remote work options available, with a requirement to report to specific locations on designated days Opportunity to manage and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative culture Engagement with senior HR and business leaders, allowing for impactful contributions to technology compensation strategy Focus on continuous improvement and innovation within the compensation function Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
