Health Program Specialist II

Job Description And Duties Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full‑time employee in Bargaining Unit (01) and related excluded, exempt, and statutory exempt employees to have their base salary reduced by (03) percent and to receive (05) PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Accreditation and License Compliance Unit, the Health Program Specialist II will independently perform high‑level special studies and lead projects related to establishing and monitoring Joint Commission (JC) accreditation statewide. This position will independently facilitate improvement projects and conduct highly skilled technical JC institution assessments in order to promote quality health care and adherence to JC standards. Up to 75% statewide travel is required. This position is located in the Accreditation and License Compliance Unit, Corrections Services, at CCHCS Headquarters in Elk Grove, Sacramento County.
