A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its growing litigation team. This role offers hands-on experience handling complex civil litigation matters while working closely with experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil litigation, with experience in insurance defense, construction litigation, or insurance coverage disputes preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Conduct legal research and case analysis.

Handle written discovery, document review, and discovery responses.

Participate in and conduct depositions.

Support trial preparation, arbitration, mediations, and hearings.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties.

Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case management.

Gradually assume increased responsibility for independently handling cases.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.

Active South Carolina Bar admission.

Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.

Strong legal writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills.

Experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Interest in developing deposition, courtroom, and trial advocacy skills.

Preferred Experience

Insurance defense litigation.

Construction defect or construction-related litigation.

Insurance coverage disputes.

Depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.
