Serve as an in‑class resource for students with language and learning disabilities. Responsibilities: Deliver daily instruction to students using the Board‑approved ELA curriculum. Act as an in‑class resource for students with language and learning disabilities. Maintain a positive learning environment. Ensure compliance with the NJ FIRST Act. Participate in performance reviews and professional development as required. Qualifications New Jersey certification: Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH), Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSWD) & ELA Specialization (5‑8), or Teacher of English. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act. Successful criminal history clearance. Proof of U.S. citizenship or appropriate employment authorization. Terms of Employment 10‑month contract. Salary and benefits are determined by the Board of Education and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Compensation Salary ranges from Step 1 (BA/BS – $68,023) to Step 18 (PhD/EdD – $99,380) under the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement. Compensation commensurate with experience and education.
