Qualifications :

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
  
• Includes required upper level accounting credits to sit for the CPA exam
• Prior experience in private or public accounting a plus but not required

Role and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

• Work on assigned segments of accounting or tax engagements
• Assume substantial responsibility (under supervision) for small accounting engagements involving individual or small business entities.
• Complete individual tax returns, trial balance preparation, payroll reporting, simple tax returns, and additional related tasks as assigned
• Stay up to day on firm policies, procedures and the AICPA and state CPA societies' rules, regulations and Code of Ethics.
• Regularly read and be familiar with changes in tax laws, including significant changes in the internal revenue code and other proposed developments.

Q UALIFICATIONS AND E DUCATION R EQUIREMENTS

Required

·Undergraduate degree in Accounting

Preferred

·Accounting work experience in public or private sector

·Be in the process of passing the CPA exam

·Exceptional oral and written communication skills

·Self-directed; able to work with minimal supervision

·Management and prioritization of multiple and competing tasks and deadlines

·Detail-oriented and organized

·Proactive and effective communicator
