Piedmont is committed to building lasting relationships with the customers we serve and fully understanding our customers' needs to provide the best solution for each client.As a Project Technician for Piedmont Service Group, you will be responsible for the following:Installing and maintaining HVAC systems (Hydronic, Steam, Chilled Water, DX, Forced Air, Heat Pump, VAV, Constant Volume, Exhaust, Heat Recovery, Sheet Metal Ducting and various related mechanical systems)Maintaining tools, supplies and equipmentDiagnosing and trouble shooting HVACR equipmentMaintaining a high standard of mechanical installation practicesPerforming preventive maintenance on equipmentCalculating CFM-BTU/HR-GPM-PSI-and duct sizingFollowing all safety requirements and use appropriate PPEMaintaining project expenses through planned courses of actionFollowing written project installation plansKeeping appropriate recordsFlexibility to work extended shifts (e.g. early mornings and late nights)Requirements Qualifications preferred for job candidates:Must be able to communicate effectively with all customers, vendors and co-workersStrong understanding of electrical schematicsComprehension of refrigeration cycleBasic knowledge of DDC controlsMust be able to operate hand tools and powered tools safely (e.g. solder, braze and weld)Must be able to work on ladders, elevated platforms, boom lifts, and scaffoldingThe position requires the candidate to have the ability to lift up to 50lbs in assistance of loading, unloading and storing materials and equipment. The position will also require bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, balancing, kneeling, twisting, standing and climbing stairs and ladders.Education/ExperienceMust have at least five years of commercial service or installation experience.Must have high school diploma or GEDMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have CFC Universal Refrigerant CertificationForklift, boom lift (JLG), first responder, CPR are all encouragedPiedmont Service Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
