Job Description
ROLE - MEDICAL/SURGICAL

Schedule
- Shift: Nights only
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- Holiday Expectation: Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Assignment Details
- Assignment Length: 13-26 weeks accepted

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
- Must pass EKG test for this specialty
- BCLS certification required
- Experience with heparin drips and insulin drips preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Charting/EMR experience: Epic preferred

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting.
- Administer medications and treatments, including heparin and insulin drips.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a high standard of care.
- Assist with non-invasive airway support and dysrhythmia recognition.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays)
- No RTO during the first week; all RTO must be pre-approved
- Floating to similar units may be required; floating at least once a week is typical
