About the Facility - Parker Indian Health Center (PIHC)
The Parker Indian Health Center, also known as The Colorado River Service Unit (CRSU) services nearly 13,000 members in the tribal communities of Parker, AZ; Peach Springs, AZ; Supai, AZ; Havasu Lake, CA; and Moapa, NV. CRSU is headquartered at Parker Indian Health Center in Parker, AZ. Their facilities are accredited through The Joint Commission. Examples of services provided at each facility are listed below. Patients requiring inpatient surgical procedures and complex medical care are referred to Phoenix Indian Medical Center or contract-care hospitals.

Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The RN Med/Surg utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive care for patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Assess patients' needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Reassess patients' conditions and revise plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Instruct patients and families on post-discharge care.
• The RN Med/Surg performs nursing tasks related to physician-prescribed treatments.
• Function as a scrub nurse during surgical procedures.
• Function as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Perform skin assessments and prevent hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPUs).
• Care for patients with catheters and prosthetics.
• The RN Med/Surg administers medications and IV therapies according to facility policies.

Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of one (2) year as MS nurse experience.
• Must have BLS/ACLS/PALS certification through the American Heart Association.
• A current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
