Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,157 to $2,326 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Start date: 09/28/2026 Setting: Med/Surg floor on a hospital inpatient unit with 35 private rooms and dedicated supports Scheduling notes: Every other weekend; holidays negotiable Responsibilities Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care to adults on a mixed surgical/medical inpatient unit, including post-op and medically complex patients Monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IV therapies, and assist with procedures as assigned Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team; document patient status and care plans in the electronic medical record; participate in daily rounds Respond promptly to changes in patient condition; escalates concerns to the shift supervisor and implement appropriate interventions Support bed management and discharge planning; coordinate with patient care techs and other staff to ensure safe transitions Requirements Active Illinois State Registered Nurse license Current CPR/BLS Certification; ACLS preferred Experience in a Med/Surg or related acute care setting (surgical patient population) preferred Education: Graduation from an approved nursing program resulting in RN licensure Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient Med/Surg environment; comfortable with 12-hour shifts and nursing-derived patient assignments Certifications and unit credentials noted in job notes may apply as appropriate Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Assignment support throughout the contract Housing assistance available Extension opportunities for continued placement Nationwide travel opportunities Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
