We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our vibrant team within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology. This position is based at our main medical center, with responsibilities extending to one of our affiliated hospitals.

About Our Organization

Our organization is the second-largest county-owned health and hospital system in California, dedicated to enhancing the health of approximately 1.9 million residents in Santa Clara County. About the Division

The Division of Cardiology provides both inpatient consultative services and outpatient care for conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. We are a key training site for residents and are in the process of establishing 'The Cardiovascular Center for Excellence' in collaboration with cardiothoracic surgery and expanding structural cardiology services.

Position Overview

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Eligible for medical licensure in California
• Passion for teaching and mentoring residents and interns
• Shared responsibilities for inpatient and outpatient care
• Inpatient rotations will include:
  • Cardiology Consult Service
  • CCU Service
• Strong support from Internal Medicine residents and trainees
• Supervision and support from advanced practice providers
• Outpatient responsibilities will encompass:
  • Echocardiography interpretation (TTE)
  • EKG interpretation
  • Zio Patch monitoring interpretation
  • Ambulatory cardiology clinic
  • Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures
  • Cardioversion procedures
• Shared call schedule promoting work-life balance with a call frequency of every 6 to 7 days
