Full-Time General Cardiologist Opportunity in a Major Public Health System

We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our vibrant team within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology. This position is based at our main medical center, with responsibilities extending to one of our affiliated hospitals.

About Our Organization

Our organization is the second-largest county-owned health and hospital system in California, dedicated to enhancing the health of approximately 1.9 million residents in Santa Clara County. We operate four hospitals:

• Central Hospital with 731 beds
• O‘Connor Hospital with 358 licensed beds
• Saint Louise Regional Hospital with 93 licensed beds

About the Division

The Division of Cardiology provides both inpatient consultative services and outpatient care for conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. We are a primary training site for residents and are in the process of developing 'The Cardiovascular Center for Excellence' in collaboration with Cardiothoracic Surgery and expanding our structural cardiology services.

Position Overview

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Eligible for a California medical license
• Passionate about teaching and mentoring residents and interns
• Willing to share both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

Inpatient duties will include:

• Cardiology Consult Service
• CCU Service

Our team benefits from strong support from Internal Medicine residents and trainees, as well as advanced practice provider supervision. Outpatient responsibilities encompass:

• Echocardiography interpretation (TTE)
• EKG interpretation
• Zio Patch monitoring interpretation
• Ambulatory cardiology clinic
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Cardioversion procedures

We promote a healthy work-life balance with a shared call schedule of every 6 to 7 days.
