Golden Gate Communications Center (GGCC) is a public safety answering point. PSD's answer 9-1-1 calls, public and allied agency calls, and make out-going calls to service providers, allied agencies and citizens. This classification requires a certified net typing speed of 40 words per minute.

GGCC is on the 3/12 alternate work week with quarterly seniority shift and RDO sign ups.

• This position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed designated on the Classification Specifications (link available in the minimum requirements section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests:
• Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to appointment. To satisfy the minimum qualification requirement with education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for initial review. Original diploma or official, sealed transcripts will be required prior to the start date. • The CHP utilizes their own Public Safety Dispatcher certification list. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Public Safety Dispatcher classification to be eligible to take the examination.
