Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in Med/Surg, ability to float between units Description: Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. Position will require floating between units as needed. Weekends are required, with 5-6 weekend shifts scheduled every 6 weeks. No block scheduling is available. Expected patient ratios are 1:5-6. Special requirements include no approval for 48-hour shifts. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care center with a total of 379 staffed beds. Dress code for licensed nursing personnel includes solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not acceptable attire. Daily census is approximately 30 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Preferred skills include experience with central line management, wound care, and post-operative care. The unit cares for adults and geriatric patients. Travelers may need to float between nearby facilities. Failure to float may result in termination of the assignment. Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 specified holidays during their assignment. References are required covering at least one year of experience.
