Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Wayland, Michigan

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy located in Wayland, MI, is seeking a per diem Staff Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care and support. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a small, dedicated team, including one other pharmacist and five to seven pharmacy technicians, in a fast-paced retail environment using the Pioneer RX computer system.

Responsibilities include accurately dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on medication use, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborating with pharmacy staff. The pharmacy handles a high volume of scripts, ranging from 300 to 800 per day, with Mondays typically busier. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to manage workflow efficiently throughout shifts.

Schedule:

September 14, 15, 16, and 21: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
September 18: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Desired Qualifications:

Active Michigan Pharmacy license
Proven experience in retail pharmacy practice
Proficiency using pharmacy computer systems, preferably Pioneer RX
Strong communication and patient counseling skills
Able to work independently and coordinate with pharmacy staff effectively
