Technical Designer

Our client is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in New York to work across denim and woven tops! Key Responsibilities: Lead fit sessions Review samples and prototypes Identify fit issues and make corrections Evaluate balance, proportion, mobility, comfort, and silhouette Create fit comments with clear technical instructions for international factories Approve fit through all stages including proto, fit sample, sales sample, pre-production sample, and TOP sample Collaborate with overseas factories regarding fit comments, construction revisions, sample corrections, pattern updates, and quality concerns Assess vendor questions and provide solutions Assist factory troubleshooting Qualifications: Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and fit Ability to analyze fit issues and provide solutions Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Experience working with overseas factories and managing sample development is preferred Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLS systems, Microsoft Excel, Measurement specification software Previous knowledge with patternmaking We suggest that you ensure you have updated your LinkedIn profile and that you start collecting your references early.
