Investment Associate

San Diego | On-site | Competitive Salary + Bonus I'm partnering with a fast-growing consultancy that works with some of the most exciting venture capital firms in the market, supporting them across fund operations, financial reporting, investor relations and portfolio management. They're looking to hire two Investment Operations Associates to join their close-knit San Diego team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in venture capital rather than remain in a traditional accounting or audit role. You'll begin by developing a strong foundation in fund operations, financial reporting and investor management before gradually taking on broader responsibilities across portfolio analysis, fundraising support, investment operations and strategic finance. The team is passionate about developing well-rounded finance professionals, giving you exposure to every stage of the venture capital lifecycle and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced investment professionals. What you’ll be doing: Review fund financial statements, capital account statements and investor allocations Support fund accounting activities, including capital calls, distributions and reconciliations Assist with financial analysis, forecasting and performance reporting Work alongside fund administrators, auditors and third-party providers Support investor reporting, onboarding and client communication Contribute to operational improvements and strategic projects across the venture business What we’re looking for: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. 1-4 years' experience in fund accounting, public accounting, investment operations, venture capital, private equity or financial services. Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. A proactive, ambitious individual who wants to learn, take ownership and grow into a broader investment-focused role. The role is on-site 5 days a week in La Jolla. Looking at a salary of $90,000-$120,000. Bonuses are uncapped and have seen people earn up to 100%. #J-18808-Ljbffr
